Cost of living and energy security

With massive energy bills landing on doormats and in inboxes around the country people are more aware of where their energy comes from and how 'resilient' the supply is.

Below we show how a range of countries 'stack up' in terms of the diversity of supply and how self-sufficient they are in meeting their energy needs. Albania is virtually 100% self-sufficient but highly reliant on oil whereas the UK roughly imports 50% of energy and has much better diversity of sources.
